Ambassador IZAWA’s attendance at the NATO Industry Forum (November 5-6, 2025)

On 5 and 6 November, Ambassador IZAWA, delegates from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency alongside several leading Japanese companies such as IHI AEROSPACE Co., Ltd., Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric, and Synspective were present in Bucharest, Romania for the NATO-Industry Forum hosted by NATO - Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and NATO’s Defence Industry, Innovation and Armaments Division.
This year’s theme ‘Rearming NATO – Innovate, Accelerate, Sustain’ builds on the 2025 NATO Summit, where NATO Allies agreed to increase defence investment to 5% of GDP by 2035.
In the margins of the Forum, Ambassador IZAWA met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defence Industry, Innovation and Armaments（D2IA）, Tarja JAAKKOLA.
