Ambassador IZAWA participation in NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) Interoperability Platform

Ambassador IZAWA represented Japan at the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG), a high-level forum for NATO a key high-level forum where Allies and partners bring forward their national industrial perspectives to support NATO’s Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) and advise other NATO bodies.
In his intervention, the Ambassador underscored the inseparability of the Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions, highlighting the growing cooperation between Japanese and European defense industries. He pointed to concrete initiatives such as the Japan–NATO Dialogue on Defense Industrial Cooperation and Capabilities, GCAP, and other collaborative frameworks driving innovation and resilience.
He also reaffirmed Japan’s strong commitment to deepening industrial cooperation with Europe and showcasing the strengths of Japan’s advanced defense industry.
