DCM NAKAMURA Article Published Together with CSDS Director Luis SIMÓN

On the 11th of June,2026, Deputy Chief of Mission NAKAMURA Kohei published an article together with Dr. Luis SIMÓN, Director of the the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS), a research hub at the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
The article, titled “NATO Plus: From Partnerships to a Cross-Theatre Security Ecosystem”, argues that NATO should should leverage its standards architecture, institutional infrastructure and extensive network of partnerships to develop a more structured “NATO Plus” framework capable of generating greater strategic coordination, common standards and practical cooperation while preserving the Alliance’s core role as a Euro-Atlantic collective defence organisation.
